Model UN Crisis Teams
Learn crisis skills and become a confident crisis delegate!
The MUN Crisis Team is a fun and engaging after-school program where students learn how to creatively respond to world crises and practice their skills by attending two Model United Nations Crisis Conferences.
In this program, you will:
- Learn how to do MUN crisis committees
- Build debating and problem-solving skills
- Attempt world dominion with passionate MUNers
- Get feedback from Best Delegate MUN mentors
- Compete for awards at 2 Best Delegate MUN Crisis Conferences
- Celebrate team success with a virtual banquet
- Receive a Model UN digital certificate
The program runs from February 21 to April 29 (10 weeks). Students attend 2 MUN Conferences on March 20 and April 24.
Students meet for one hour per week at one of the following days and times:
|Week 1||Feb. 21-25||Welcome - Team icebreakers and goal-setting. How does Crisis MUN work?|
|Week 2||Feb. 28 - Mar. 4||Research - Learn how to role-play your character and portfolio powers|
|Week 3||March 7-11||Public Speaking - Practice impromptu speaking and debating on crisis updates|
|Week 4||March 14-18||Problem-solving - solve world crises through directives and communiques|
|March Conference||March 20 (Sunday)||Compete for awards at the Best Delegate MUN Crisis Conference March|
|Week 5||March 21-25||Debrief from the conference and receive your next country/topic assignment|
|Week 6||Mar. 28 - Apr. 1||Crisis Arcs - strategize on how to achieve world domination through a crisis arc|
|Week 7||April 4-8||Public Speaking - Practice debating on crisis updates given to each other|
|Week 8||April 11-15||Problem-solving - learn how to write detailed crisis notes that achieve your crisis arc|
|Week 9||April 18-22||Crisis Arcs - strategize on how to have your crisis arc become the crisis tree|
|Compete for awards at the Best Delegate MUN Crisis Conference or Crisis Tournament of Champions (If you've won an award at a Crisis Conference this year)|
|Week 10||April 25-29||Team Banquet to reflect and celebrate the team’s successes and friendships!|

Private Coaching Optional Add-On
Private Coaching is a 1-on-1 personalized experience where an expert college MUN award-winner helps a student accelerate their preparation for their upcoming Model UN conference.
Students will have 4 one-hour sessions with a MUN Mentor, including:
- Session 1 (Pre-Conference): Research
- Session 2 (Pre-Conference): Public Speaking
- Session 3 (Pre-Conference): Possible Solutions
- Session 4 (Post-Conference): Debriefing and Reflection
Flexible dates and times allow students to work on their MUN skills on their own schedule, and prepare for their upcoming conference with ease!
Private Coaching is $299 for 4 one-hour session package. Students can sign up for 1 package (to use for either the March or April conferences), or sign up for 2 packages for both conferences.
