Private Model UN Teams
Learn public speaking skills and debate world issues in Model United Nations!
The Virtual MUN Beginner Team is a fun and engaging after-school online program where students learn public speaking and debating, and work together with new friends in preparation for attending two Virtual Model United Nations Training Conferences in November and December.
In this program, your students will:
- Learn public speaking and debate skills
- Represent different countries and solve world issues
- Attend two Virtual Best Delegate MUN Training Conferences
- Be inspired by engaging MUN Mentors
- Make new friends who are hopeful about the future
- Build confidence and celebrate team success

Weekly Schedule
The program runs from the week of October 1 to the week of December 10.
Students attend 2 MUN Conferences on November 4, 2023 and December 9, 2023.
Students meet for one hour per week. Our team will work with your school to select a day and time each week to meet with your students.

Week 1 | October 1-7 | Welcome - Team icebreakers and goal-setting. Learn what happens at a Model UN Conference. |
Week 2 | October 8-14 | Intro to MUN Practice Activity - Practice doing MUN and get assigned a Country and topic for the November MUN Conference. |
Week 3 | October 15-21 | Public Speaking Structure - Learn how to make an opening speech on your country's policy. |
Week 4 | October 22-28 | Research - Learn how to research your country's policy and build allies in MUN. |
Week 5 | October 29- November 4 | Resolution Writings - Learn how to turn your solutions into a MUN resolution. |
November 4 Conference | November 4 (Saturday from 12-5pm EST) | Debate at the Best Delegate MUN Training Conference in November |
Week 6 | November 5-11 | Debrief from the conference and receive your next country/topic assignment for the December Conference. |
Week 7 | November 12-18 | Public Speaking Style - Improve your tone, volume, and pace to deliver engaging speeches. |
Thanksgiving Break | November 19-25 | No class - Enjoy Thanksgiving Break! |
Week 8 | November 26- December 2 | Negotiation Styles - Practice managing teams of countries with different perspectives |
Week 9 | December 3- 9 | Presenting Resolutions - Practice pitching creative and realistic solutions to a MUN Shark Tank |
December Conference | December 9 (Saturday 12-5pm EST) | Utilize your public speaking & debate skills at the Best Delegate MUN Training Conference in December |
Week 10 | December 10-16 | Team Banquet to reflect and celebrate the team’s successes and friendships! |
